I apply paint, take it off, and then apply more paint. Forms and spaces emerge. Lines and scratches further describe these vague shapes. I incorporate bits of paper, conté, oil-stick, and small found-objects into my acrylic works for perceptual balance, tension, or passage.
I feel the creative process allows my paintings and sketches to come to the surface from the subconscious. Working with the physical medium of paint puts me in a creative trance. I want the person standing in front of my work to feel the rapture of paint and painting.
